03.08.2017

On the 1st of August, the delegation from India has visited Olir Resources. The delegation included representatives of The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA). The association consists of big importers and processors of vegoil from India.

The delegation got acquainted with technical processes of the terminal: intake, storage and shipment of oil. Visiting of the quality laboratory was very interesting for the guests. The control of sediment content is mandatory on supplies to India. Olir Resources controls sediment content on a regular basis.

In the current season, Ukraine will ship 2.1 million tonnes of sunflower oil in bulk to India. This is 600 thousand tonnes more compared to the last season. The port of Chornomorsk is a prominent port in shipments to India. The draft of the port allows shipping vessels with DWT up to 50 000 tonnes. Over a few last years there is a trend in using vessels with bigger DWT 30 000 tonnes and more. The saving in a freight cost totals up to $8 per tonne.
